Billy Talent: a charity concert to support the victims of the Danforth tragedy

The Toronto rocker Billy Talent is a charity concert next month to support the victims of the Danforth tragedy.

In an interview, Billy Talent frontman Ben Kowalewicz said how shocked the band was when they recognized the incident.

“We have so many of our friends and relatives and people we love living in that neighborhood and our studio is a few blocks away,” he said.

We were completely separated and the next day we talked and we said “We have to do something.

The band started playing the concert and recruiting other musicians, including City and Color, to perform at the show.

“People who were original in Toronto and wanted to do it were a 100% edge right away,” Kowalewicz said.

The proceeds from the concert, held at the Danforth Music Hall on August 11 during the annual Taste of the Danforth event, will be donated to the Toronto Strong Fund.

We hope the concert will encourage people to come back to Danforth, and get the message that we love them and that we are here for them. ”

Tickets for the show will be on sale at 10 am on 1 August
